Established in 2022 in Oslo, Norway, by friends Camilla and Sarah, JOSEPHINE designs contemporary jewellery for the passionate soul, creating heirlooms for future generations.

We create comfortable and solid pieces that stand the test of time and we encourage everyday wear making our jewellery a part of life’s journey. The characters of silver and gold unfolds uniquely over time, evolving with each use, every line and scratch tells a story of a life well lived. 

More than jewellery, JOSEPHINE embodies a philosophy of living boldly and authentically – being rebellious, relatable and alive.

Our focus is quality products that last. When something is well-made, it doesn't need frequent updates. Our approach to sustainability is to create truly excellent items that people want to use for a lifetime and that will also withstand the test of time.

For the industry to become more sustainable as a whole, it needs to collectively slow down. We're accustomed to new things being churned out season after season, which has become a standard and a requirement set by the industry. We aim to normalize appreciating, using, and desiring items that have been on the market for a long time. We want to highlight that desiring something over time is a good thing, and making a conscious decision when purchasing a product is beneficial. For customers to have the time to make such a choice, the product must be available for longer and remain relevant, just as much this year as it was last year.

We will create new things, but we will do so because we have fresh ideas we want to bring to life, not because the industry demands constant new releases to stay relevant. We create new things on our own terms.
